Javier Sobrino (Asturias, 1960) es maestro de primaria, escritor e investigador en el campo de la literatura infantil y promoción de lectura. Ha sido condecorado con varios premios, tanto nacionales como internacionales. Colabora en la revista de literatura infantil y juvenil ""Peonza"" de Santander desde hace 28 años. Ha plantado numerosos árboles y ha publicado casi una veintena de libros, en su mayoría álbumes ilustrados. Disfruta coleccionando peonzas, faros y amigos.
